Is it possible to create a wall with concrete block up to a certain height, with wood stud above?

We have a wall composed of knock out block on the first floor and wood stud above for the next 2 floors + the parapet.  I know we can make compound walls with different finishes at different heights, but can we make the wall of different structural cores?

I'm thinking the answer is no.

Thanks,

Linda

Thanks.  That was easy!

I need the stucco on the exterior face of the stacked cmu & stud wall to be flush.  Any suggestions?

You can define a reference line for the entire stacked wall, and then offset each sub-wall from that reference line.
