Cloud Render Error Message

Hi,

 

I'm receiving the following error message when I try to render to the cloud: "A problem occurred. The file could not be translated. Error Code: -1." I've rendered in the cloud from this file before so I don't know what is causing the issue today. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Laura.

 

Hope you are fine.

 

Apply the following solutions in order to resolve the error message:

 

1. Make sure that Revit 2014 Service Pack 1 is installed, apply it if not and test the Cloud rendering feature again

 

2. Check if there are any extended characters in the Windows user name (C:\users\<username>). If there are, create a new windows account without any such characters, log in using the newly created account and try using the Cloud rendering feature again

 

3. The message can sometimes display when attempting to use a file from older Revit versions containing PRC content - if this is the case try first removing RPC content and check if this solves the issue. Then try inserting new and updated versions of the content if available

 

4. Check the names of the views that you are requesting for render and make sure that there are no special characters contained in the view names (i.e. square brackets, colon symbol, semicolon symbol, etc...)

 

If these steps resolve the issue, please mark the solution option.

Did all this last night with no luck... I'm running revit 2017 lt... The file was rendering fine a week or so ago, now won't even render backup models with no changes to what was working fine then... Any other thoughts?

Hi, I had a similar problem.. It was only happening with one 3d view tho so I remade the view with a new camera and it seems to have solved the problem..

I have been having the same issue, but only on 2 3d views of 25 in the same project.  I had successfully rendered these 2 exterior perspective views, then I added in a toposurface and roads etc on a site plan.  I wanted to re render with all the trees etc.  From that point on I got that error message"A problem occured.  The file could not be translated. Error Code: -1" only on the two exterior perspectives.  I tried ALL of Autodesk's suggestions that are posted everywhere in relation to this error and nothing worked.  The only thing that has worked is dropping in the camera and taking a new 3d view.  Freakin Revit.

So what I have actually discovered is that those 2 3d views that received this error message were actually getting it becuase I had set the background to transparent in the render settings.  When I took the new camera shots of the same thing, that successfully sent to the cloud, they had the "few clouds" setting.  I changed one of them to transparent and the error popped up.  Set it back to "few clouds", no problem sending to cloud.
