Circular texture

Hi,

is there any solution to apply circular texture in Revit family?

Let's say I have a circular texture and I want to create a material like the one below.

As far as I know it's not possible natively, so any ideas how to get it in Revit e.g. by using other software?

Is this hypothetical question? Or you have the family/component and the Images you need to use as material?

If you do post it

@RDAOU I don't have the exact Image at the moment, but it's a good idea to create some sample, I'm adding it as an attachment to the main topic

Well the image you added is not a pattern it is more of a linear gradient. The one on the porcelain pot is more of a pattern ...as long as you can keep the sketch lines continuous the better it maps

@RDAOU

could you post this family that you've created? Looks like the solution that I was looking for

Sorry I have deleted it!! It was the same family you have posted. You just need to amend the profile you used (its consists of multiple segments)

  1. Edit the family
  2. Edit the revolve's profile
  3. Make the sketch line continuous ie:
    • Either use a continuous arc
    • Or use a Spline if an Arc doesn't work

@RDAOU thanks for the explanation, continuous line sketch does the work (once you have a pattern Image):

What I wanted to achieve though was something slightly different, a linear gradient you would call it, where we have only 1 round texture available, like this one (also attached):

As I deduct the only way to solve this issue would be to redo attached texture into the squared pattern in any graphic program and then apply it in the model. I will test it out later on.
