Circular Extrusion Center Mark Not Visible

I created a circular extrusion and want its center mark to be visible so I can align the center of the extrusion in a family. I went to Edit Extrusion, selected the circle, and checked the Center Mark Visible box, but the center mark does not appear. What step(s) am I missing?

The Center Mark is only for the Sketch Circle of the extrusion.  Do you want to align the extrusion within the family or externally (in another family/project)?

You don't need the center mark to be visible. In sketch mode - create the extrusion in its own family. Make sure the to constrain the center of the sketch to them the intersection of the reference planes. Insert this family into the family where you want the center to line up - you will be able to grab the reference planes at the center of the circle to align.

To create families, please you need to create a skeleton of references, then the dimensions & parameters, then the geometry. It seems that you simply created a cylinder by extrusion skipping the other steps and now you want to constrain the center of the cylinder to something. First, make a circle reference, then make its center mark visible, and constrain that mark to something. Then, create dimensions and parameters, and then make the circular extrusion, using the circle reference as the constraint.
