Hello everyone.
I am having a weird glitch. This is a simplify example of my model but generates the same error I am having.
I have a Curtain Wall Panel Family created by Generic Model line base Mullions. When I load a Void Family into the Curtain Wall panel to create a notch in a Mullion and after that I load the Curtain Wall Panel into the Project Curtain Wall it works fine (see left pic).
If I load the Curtain Wall Panel without the Void Family in the project and later I insert the Void Family into the Curtain Wall Panel family and I load it again into the Project it shows the error "There is a circular chain of references among the highlighted elements." (see right pic).
If, instead of creating a Curtain Wall Panel, I do the same process but creating a Generic Model family, there is no issue when upload the family with the Void Family, so I can infer it is Curtain Wall system glitch only.
As well, I tried to recreate the same workflow with a rectangular model to simplify the complex profile of this example, but it gave me the same problem.
Any ideas how to solve it or what the problem is? I know removing the panel, loading it again and selecting it again from the Curtain Wall model it is a solution but, for working with a large amount of panels it is very time consuming.
Thank you in advance.
Here it goes.
Inside the Project you will find:
If you open the Curtain Wall Panel family from the project, add the notch, and load it again in the project it will generate the issue.
Thank you.
I think the nested shared family in Curtain panel family causing the problem. Try to change it to Non-Shared will fix the issue.
