Character Limit in Noteblock notes!?

I think I've encountered a very weird glitch while working with some clients using Noteblocks, and I can't seem to find any info anywhere, so before I go to Autodesk with an actual support case, I thought I'd try here to dig up some more info.

While using a noteblock and entering a lengthy note, 255+ characters, the note will allow itself to be typed in its entirety the first time it's placed/written, but then any time the note is used after that by placing a second noteblock symbol and selecting the note from the 'note' parameter in the properties it generates a second entry in the Noteblock Schedule and cuts the note back to 255 characters.  Create Similar and copy/paste seem to get around this glitch, but isn't always practical.  You can edit the trimmed note, to be longer than 255 again and show the whole note, but if you repeat the adding a new symbol process, you'll get a duplicate trimmed note again. *sigh*

I've tested this on their current project file where the weirdness was discovered, then using their noteblock symbol in an out-of-the-box template, and then on a noteblock of my own making from many years ago in an OOTB template. All scenarios lead to the same duplication of the note.

I've attached the latest test here, so you can check it out for yourself.

So, if this really is a glitch and can't be fixed without Autodesk involvement... I'm very annoyed, and also puzzled as to how to get around this... Shorter notes, sure, but when a note needs to be descriptive, ... I mean, there isn't much we can do. Is there something I'm missing?

How about using Multi-line text parameter instead of Text parameter for the Description?

I did wonder if that's an option, so I am going to try it out. I find they are not as convenient as regular text, but it might be as good as it gets here...

I'm not following. What's supposed to not happen?

Looks like you used create similar or copy/paste to create that new note. but if you use the symbol tool, place a new noteblock symbol and lets say it isn't the correct note and you select the new note from the properties - it already exists, used elsewhere, you just have to pick it from the list - what happens is that note gets duplicated and shortened, creating a new entry in the schedule.
