CHANGING THE MATERIAL DOESN'T CHANGE THE APPEARANCE

Hi!

I'm having troubles with certain revit elements when changing their material. I need to change it because I need them to look different in a realistic view setting but when I assign a new material to these elements they stay looking the same. I'm working in revit 2016 and all the elements that are presenting these problems are walls or structural foundations. I've tried everything changing the material of the type, creating a new type, changing the family so the materials are selected by item, creating new materials, etc.

I don't know what is causing this problem. I will attach tow images of the same element with tow radically different materials so you can see what is going on (the first image (the column is highlighted in red) is with the concrete cast in place gray material and the second one (the column is highlighted in blue) is grass).

Thank you so much for the help!

No material is assigned to the element. Are these Model In-Place Components?  You need to apply Materials to the actual geometry.  Edit the Family to locate the geometry's "Material" Parameter.

Did you duplicate the grass material from the other material? If so, you need to go to the Appearance tab, duplicate the Asset or assign a new Asset.
