Hi, Question from a non-architect regarding modifying the 1st and 2nd level plate heights for a 3,000 SF 2-story single family residential home. Is this quick and easy to do using Revit and what is a ballpark amount of time it would take by an architect experienced with Revit? The windows and doors on both levels are floor-to-ceiling so their heights would need to be to be adjusted as well. Thanks.
Typically I use Levels for Pl.Hts. - so its no question, and I can get roofs to sit properly at correct heights. If you have your walls and other things constrained to your levels, then changing the height is no issue. Windows, have a sill parameter which would be the offset from the level. When you move the level up, the sill parameter will remain consistent across the board. Quick Fix.
It depends how it was modelled - it could take a minute, or three hours. If everything is connected to the level, it's a matter of changing the levels.
There is no "ballpark". You are going to need to get estimates - or trust the Architect you are working with.
