I can't figure out how to create a new material for all the generic Rhino models I imported into Revit. Going back to rhino and reimporting with materials would have been the way to go, but that file is too messy now... I was hoping Revit would just allow me to change the material of selected elements, but it doesn't seem like it will be that easy.

Why? What's hard about it? What's your process?
I am trying to go and edit the type to add the material, but it won't let me edit the type of a generic model it seems.
Wow... I just found out the answer, sort of.. So in the first image the generic model won't let you edit type, as it's greyed out. But if I change the view to 3D rendered it will let me edit type. However, it just changes all the generic model to whatever material is selected, so I'm still a little lost. I can post the file tonight, as I'm finishing up rendering as a sketch instead of using the textures. So I can respond later with the file if still needed.
