Changing Material in Family

I have an All Steel Relate chair family in my Revit file.

It is not letting me change the material at all. In the properties along the left side, it is grayed out. 

Tried saving the file as my own.

Tried deleting the material, still grayed out and not able to click.

What can I do? Really need to change the color.

Looking at your image the material is mapped to a material parameter within the family.  Edit the family types and look for a parameter with that material name.  The way you can tell its mapped to a parameter is the "=" box next to the material that is grayed out.  That's an indication of parameter mapping. Hope this helps.
