Just go to the general Revit Text tool. Create a new Text Type. This will then be available inside of your schedules "Appearance" panel.

Hi,
Trying to change the font size of the body text in a schedule in Revit 2020 however it wont change. Do you know what could be the reason?
Regards
We have don't that, however the text font does not change. It works in the other schedules, however not working for a Plumbing schedule.
@Anonymous You should be able to duplicate any current Text Type in your project
change the parameters to the desired height.
After this is done you can switch the text type in the schedule properties
Please let me know if this helps.
Yes, this is what we have done. The text works for the "Furniture Schedule" but it does not for the "Plumbing Schedule"
refer to this AKN article and see if helps. thanks
Hmmm....out of curiosity, are all the elements that you are trying to schedule inside your model or in a linked model? Also, would you mind sharing the properties of the Text Type you created?
I have this problem as well - but it's with all types of schedules on the sheet (4 of them). I can select a font in the Appearance Editor that is larger and it updates the schedule on the sheet, and when I put it back to the original one it changes... but when I select a smaller font (the one it needs to be), nothing happens? Other text on the sheet with that font is the correct size, but the schedules won't react to the change! What gives with this?
I actually just figured out why this is happening... the text in the schedule was set to be a certain size (the wrong size), and that seems to override the Appearance Editor setting. Does anyone know how to set this back to "default size" or something so that it responds to the appearance manager? Maybe just recreate the schedule(s)? That's a pain.
I had this problem with font size within a keynote legend. Altering the text type in the appearance tab of the schedule had no effect but open the schedule, click the heading at the top (A or B in the case of keynotes) to highlight the column, then right mouse and there is an option to change text height. It works.
