So it's the Legend Component for the Window wouldn't match the Plan Representation of the Windows?  What use would the Legend be then?

I think you are missing the point of a Legend.

if this is shown in the Legend:

I'm looking for this in the Plans:

Not this:

I just noticed my mistake, I was thinking about sketch not legend.

I just wanted to change styles represented in sketch, is it possible?

Sketch?  Yeah, that clarification doesn't help.  What do you mean by "Sketch"?

Hello @cadedu22 . Have you tried to insert the "low level" of detail, as in the picture? This changes the display of the drawing.

The family you are using has already a nested symbolic detail in it...edit that >> simplify as needed >> load back into the window family and overwrite (See GIF below)

My suggestion would be to create different representations for different View Detail Level.  Many Families are built this way.   I would rank it near the top of BIM Best Practices.  Even if you don't want to do it, it's good to know.

BIM best practice? In which book does BIM practices call for a separate/different detail representation for different view details?!

It could be a single line in all view details and still fulfills the information requirements!!!

Edit...or maybe you meant CAD best practices

You sound like you are having a melt-down, buddy. Take a chill pill and call me in the morning. But, before you do, read this first. I think it will help your understanding.

It's neither BIM nor CAD best practice, but Architectural Graphic Standards.
