change the zero point for a DWG export

Hello,

is it possible to change the zero point for a DWG export. I know the settings in the export window where you can setthe zero point to the projrct base point. But it sets the zero point to another position.

Thanks for the answers!

lo mas practico es que establezcas el origen de coordenadas desde el Autocad, y luego exportes de origen a origen, si no lo haces de esa manera tendrás que mover manualmente el modelo exportado.

The WCS (Origin) is Fixed in AutoCAD.   What you would need to do is move the AutoCAD elements closer to the WCS.  But, you can always Import the CAD Center-to-Center in Revit and then move the CAD into place.  Still, the CAD may land miles away from the Revit project, but maybe not so far away that you can't find the "speck" on the screen.  Arrgh!

...it would be a good idea to push or pull coordinates to the CAD, once you get it positioned correctly in the Revit Project. That way you can bring it again by Shared Coordinates.

...you know, I'm wondering if this is exactly what you are talking about. Are you trying to Publish coordinates to the CAD from Revit? If so, what you are Publishing is the Survey Point's location  back to the CAD.  It's not changing the CAD, but instead it is creating a new Named UCS in the CAD.

Are you talking about Export from Revit to DWG or Import/Link DWG into Revit?

I found what i was searching.

If you export a plan as a DWG from Revit you dont get another selection than the normal autocad WCS at the drop down menu next to the WCS sign in autocad. But if you export a drafting view into a DWG you get the selection option "REVIT60-INTERN". After i selected this i got the same XYZ 0,0,0 base point im using in Revit for my project base point.

I am logged in with the wronge account so dont wonder why this is another user ^^

Yes @s_berg, that is exactly what I was explaining to you in Post #3.

Yes, but the problem i had with this was that i tryed to export the plans as DWG and if you do so it isnt creating a new USC in the CAD. You have to export the drafting view as an DWG to get the new USC. Otherwise you dont have the option.

I'm not following you. When you Export a Revit Model to DWG, the Internal Origin (e.g. Project Base Base Startup Location) is the DWG's WCS Origin, and the Survey Point is the DWG's Named UCS.  Are you saying this is not happening?  If so, what is happening instead?

OK so i f you wanne export the ground plan for floor 1 you can do it in two ways.

First you can export the ground plan as a sheet with title block etc.. If you do it that way, like it did at first, You dont get the new UCS. Or at least i didnt get one.

The second way is to export the ground plan view (not sure how its called in englisch). The view you are drawing in, without sheet and title block etc.. This is the way it works for me. When i export the ground plan view as DWG i get the new UCS.

So it works but you have to export the normal ground plan view and not the sheet.
