CHANGE OBJECT FROM PAPER SPACE TO MODEL SPACE

Hi All,

Just wonder is there CHANGESPACE command in Revit? I drafted a detail on paper space, is there a way that I can transfer to details to model space without redrawing the detail?

Thanks:)

I am not an expert here. However, i think it would have been of best interest for you to have written the details in a duplicated view "duplicate with detailing" of the plan and put that model with detail on the sheet. Hope this helps.

No there is no such command in Revit. In Revit you have

  • 2D views (This includes drafting views and legends)
  • 3D live views (This includes floor plans, sections, elevations, 3Ds, ...etc)
  • Then you have schedule
  • Last you have Sheets...Usually you do or should not draft anything here. This is where you place all the above

If you would post a screenshot of what you have drafted and in which of the above views, then one might be able to tell you if it is transferable or what is the easiest way to recreate it in a different view if that is possible

You mean you drafted on a sheet instead of a drafting view?  No you can't "CHSPACE" in Revit.  If it is not a lot if work then redraft it in a proper view (Drafting view, Legend).  If it is a lot of work, you can export the sheet to DWG, import the DWG in a drafting or legend view, explode it the you will be able to continue to work on the detail if need be.
