Hi
I have added vertical lines to a skillion roof to give the effect of corrugated iron but when in 3D view the vertical lines seem to follow the way i rotate my building and its not giving me the option to change from drafting to model
have i missed something
Hi and welcome to the forum, if you need to reflect lines on your roof, you should use model filled patterns assigned on a material attached to your roof. Just create a new one because you can't really change a fill pattern from drafting to model type. Hope this helps.

I have a couple of suggestions for you. If you were to Google with keywords "Corrugated, Roof, Panel, Revit", you would be amazed by the amount of Revit Content that is available to you through Manufactures. I'm talking pre-built System Roof Families with custom Graphic and Rendering Appearances and much more. Additionally, as an alternative to a Surface Pattern, how about actual geometry representing the Corrugated Panel? Easy enough to do using Slopes Glazing Roof Type in Revit and "Corrugated" Curtain Panels.
