HI,
How do I change the design option - the visibility is not showing ?
For each Design Option Set (problem) there is one Primary Design Option (solution) out of many possible solutions. Each view is set to show the Primary Option by default but the view can be overriden to show a specific Design Option.
Check which Design Option is primary and then check that the view is set to show either Primary or that specific option.
Also there is a difference between Editing a Design Option and "seeing" it. You can tell Revit you want to edit an option but you might also need to change the view you are using so it can "see" the option you want to edit. For example you have Option B set in the view to show instead of "primary". That means that Editing Option A won't show you Option A's elements because the view is "hardwired" to show only Option B.
I find it useful to create a unique view assigned to each design option (solution) so I can move between the options and edit them without having to remember what option is set to primary.

You cannot change Design Option of any elements via Properties.
If you want to change elements from Main Model to Design Options then select them and use Send To Design options button at the bottom bar.
If you want to change element from one Design Option to another Design Option or back to Main model then you have to copy/cut and paste.
Having dedicated views for different Design Options is not just a recommendation, but a must, if you want to work with design option effectively and avoid mistakes.
