We have Centerline Symbols that is a generic annotation familiy with text with a transparent background. When in Revit 2017, they appear as follows (CLRevit.png). When exporting to PDF or even printing straight from Revit, those centerline symbols appear as two dashes as follows (CLPrint.png). I know I've seen this and fixed it before so I'm not crazy but I just can't remember or figure out what I did.
It does show on screen in revit, but if you export as a pdf or print-preview a real printout, it displays as the dashes.
I tried unchecking the system fonts checkbox and it's still not working. Here's an attachment of the results of that:
Also tried both vector and raster output and both have that same result.
Looks like a masking problem perhaps?
Try editing the family and disabling the mask. Maybe change the font to Arial as well.
I have my own custom family I use and do not have this problem.
