Ok, for starters i am not an architect. I am a BIM coordinator for an MEP contractor so i normally do nothing with architectural items. the project im doing however the architects are not modeling but we are so i need to make a somewhat functional architectural model. i have all the walls and doors put in and im trying to start placing ceilings. i have my floor plan view set to coordination in hopes that i could place and see all of my ceilings, however i cant. i tried going to a ceiling plan and i still cant. the ceilings are turned on in VG settings. my view range is set to unlimited. so i dont know what im doing wrong. also how do i delete a ceiling, when i try to select it, they select by lines instead of a whole block.

1) To see and delete the ceilings - cut a section through whatever you've got
2) I would delete and re-create the views that you have.
View tab>>Plan Views>>Floor Plans/Reflected Ceiling Plans
Let's try this first. Hopefully this should solve issues.

How did you create the ceiling? If a room is enclosed you can use Automatic ceiling tool and pick inside the room. You can use Ceiling sketch too and draw a closed boundary line to form a ceiling then click Finish. When you need to select a ceiling, tab until its boundary is highlighted or you may only pick a line of the surface pattern if it is a tile ceiling.
ok, i figured out how to do it with a reflected ceiling plan and placing in the floor plan so i can see the cad link. thank you for the help.
If you do it in a FLOOR plan, you have to set the cut plane just slightly above the ceiling to get it to show. Oddly enough, ceilings are not one of the categories that gets picked up in the "Top" of the view range.
