ceiling suddenly appears shaded

I'm working on a ceiling plan and without realizing I had done anything my ceilings appear to be shaded. I'm working on the hidden line view. My visibility and graphics don't have a ceiling override, nor is there one under Override Graphics in View. I don't believe that I selected anything to shade it. I have an old version that I can work from but I would rather not have to redo any work. Any suggestions?

Did you change the ceiling material?  Is is under a previous Phase?  Is the view in Hidden or Shaded visual style?

What's the surface pattern of the ceiling material? Could it be a coloured solid fill?

I'm guessing either:

1. The material of your ceiling has a surface pattern that makes it look shaded, or...

2. You've got shadows turned on.

I didn’t change the material. I actually have more than one ceiling type and they all grayed out. It seems a bit buggy because I get some random areas that appear white and change as I would scroll in. Also, when I drag model it appears ok until I release the mouse button, then back to shaded ceilings.
