Ceiling Edge

I need to create an edge for a ceiling assembly. In the attached image, the top chord of the ceiling truss sits on top of the wall plate while the truss hangs below. This will occur at many different locations. Trying to avoid placing a floor 9'-0" off the ground to do this or creating 2 separate ceilings.

Ceiling assembly:

Extend top of wall to the bottom of the top chord.

Join geometry and switch join order.
