Cavity wall junction

Can anyone advise my totally confused mind as to how I achieve the wall junction that I have explained on the following image please?

Hi,

Wall connections are dependant on the wall structure hierarchy.

There are 6 'levells'

Structure [1]
Substrate [2]
Thermal/Air Layer [3]
Finish 1 [4]
Finish 2 [5]
Membrane

The number a the end 1 is high 5 is low, these numbers need to radiate from the highest to the lowest in the wall structure, a higher number can not come after a lower number. The Membrane can be placed anywhere and has no hierarchy.

The structure define how the wall clean-up is undertaken. I suggest you look at the wall structure to get the result you need.

Hope this helps

Laura

In very simple terms you need another wall type to with the same material on the outer leaf and inner leaf and with either closing the wall at the end.

Brilliant, thank you very much. Can you show me where the junction between Type A and B occurs please and also the Edit Assembly dialog for Wall Type A?

Thank you Laura, but see the other answer which I have accepted as the solution.

Keith

Have got this far but have a line where the two wall types join:

Any idea why this is showing or how I can get rid of the line?

Thanks, again.

Try using the Wall Joins tool and see if that resolves it.

Have tried to use the Wall Join Tool and whilst I can change the 'Allow Join' or 'Disallow Join' option buttons, the 'Configuration'- 'Previous', 'Next' and 'Butt', 'Miter', 'Square Off' and the 'Display' drop down are all grayed out so I am unable to choose the 'clean' option!?

Is the wall connecting with anything else at a higher level?

Sometimes you need to click on a different part of the wall join to get the tool to activate correctly on the join you want to edit. I've never really bothered to figure out why it does this but maybe someone else will know...

The wall has an edited profile to align with a roof but it isn't attached.

that shouldn't affect it...
