As a standard practice at my firm (when creating Townhomes) we combine unit links to create a whole building. I am currently changing out the casework in an old project that will be re-used and the original creator used model groups, not unit links.
My question is: How can I create separate Casework Schedules for each specific unit within a whole building, when the units are not 'separate'. Eventually we will turn each unit into a unit link, but I need the schedule for each unit now, and currently my schedule is showing casework from the entire building. Is there a way to separate it? Split it? Only select a portion of the 'building' ( ie: the unit)

You could use a Filter to differentiate between the units!
Manual - this could be something in the Comments Parameters for instance?
Automatic could be to use the Schedule Properties and Tick "Include Elements in Links" and select a field from the Link directly to filter by;
You may be able to create an embedded schedule to sort by Room. You could also have a parameter that is looking for the items in a specific link. If the links are Revit links, you can sort by the RVT Link: Mark or RVT Link: Name.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your meaning, but I don't have any units in my project. I'm working with model groups (which I'm unfamiliar with). I need to be able to make a casework schedule of each individual model group.
How do you make a schedule of a model group? When I created a model group schedule, it just shows me all the model group types within the project, not the specific components ( in this case I need a casework schedule) of the model group. I also tried creating a new model group with just the casework, but haven't been able to get an itemized casework schedule that way either.
