CASEWORK family visibility issue

hi,

i have 2 casewrok families that have some model elements in them that are visible on Coarse and Medium and i have a 2d detail family in each of them that is only fisible on Fine plan view. i also have a masking field region to show where the boundary of casework is below the counter top, which is set to show in Coarse and Medium only. in one family i can see that, in the other one, i can not. does anyone know why?

Post the Family.

Question: have you compared the Visibility Settings of the Symbolic Linework in the "good" family with the Visibility Settings of the Linework in the "bad" Family.  Sounds like you may have.  If so, is Draw in Foreground checked in the Properties of the Symbolic Linework?

Use the ol' Invisible Model Line Trick.

Edit Base Cab Family, go to Elevation and draw an <Invisible Line> Model Line vertically from the "top" Ref. Plane upwards a few feet.

Actually, it wasn't a joke. There is such a thing as the ol' Invisible Model Line Trick.  You'll even find Autodesk Revit Help Articles that link you to it.
