Cant select topography

Hi all,

So.. Shortly: I cannot select or in any way edit my topography. I worked on the topography yesterday without any problems.

I've seen the workaround via the following link: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles... .

This "workaround" will mean that I have to recreate all relevant views and view templates, sheets, etc etc. So this would not work as a proper workaround at the moment, as I am very late in project phases.

SO, I ve tried to restore a backup from  the 15.04.2020, to see if I could backtrack and work with the topography there. This doesnt do it.

What to do?

Can you select it in a 3d view?

Also check if the topography is pinned or something and check all this boxes:

Hi Matheus - P

I cannot in anyway mark the topography. I can only select the building pad. The topography is not ruled by design options either. However, I can link the model into a new project file, copy the topography and work with it here ( I just dont want use this option as it means I have to recreate all of my working views).

I can select my "existing" topography in 3D and 2D, but not the "new" topography.

EDIT: Even more oddly, I can make a subregion on toposurface - but do not get elevation points or anything to work with. Just a subregion on an useless topography.

See if the project phase is in new and show completed

Also, as far as i know, subregions doesn't generate points. What you need is to split the toposurface

Hi Matheus-P,

Thanks! I am baffled that I didnt see this before. I selected all options available in the "Modify" function, as you did show in the previous post - and vupti, it worked.

Thanks so much. I am pretty experienced in REVIT, so this baffled me this morning.. Thank you!

Regards,

Steffan
