Cant manipulate revit linked models

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi, i recently upgrade myself from revit 2016 to revit 2018. I´m working on several projects in order to link them in one at the end, but when i try to link one model to another it inserts itself but i cant manipulate it inside the home model. I cant even select it for a rotation or move it from the insert position. Does anyone knows whats might be happening?

Check to see if your linked model has been pinned. Unpin and you should be fine.

On the bottom right of the" application window" check if the "select links" option is active (a small icon with an selection arrow and a chain).

This lets you turn on or off the links selection and manipulation.

hope it helps

1) Are you able to select the link?

2) If not, make sure that you have Select Links checked

3) Once you have the link selected, you should be able to see the pin options under modify

4) If not - make sure the link is not on a Non-Editable Workset

4) Check the coordinates in the Properties of the link. This is what they should look like

Having the lower option selected will prevent you from manipulating the linked file.
