Cant get out of group edit mode-more buggy software

Revit 2024 stays in group edit mode and there appears to be no way to exit except quit the application.  Cant save changes.

Can you provide more details? Is the save/cancel window not popping up? Or are you clicking that and nothing is happening? Something else?

Can you confirm the The Finish and Cancel buttons are missing from the Top Right area of the View when in Edit Group or in Edit Assembly mode in Revit:

If it is an offscreen issue, then keyboard shortcuts can be used to return to normal editing mode:

• FG – Will finish and save the group
• CG – Will cancel the group creation modification.

Yes the buttons disappear from screen.  Your solution works, thanks.  Hope Adesk fixes this.

I know this post is a few months old. I just had the same issue pop up. I actually had to double-click into the edit group, and Revit did not register that I was editing a group at all. No commands worked; double checked the shortcut manager. I was able to bring back the editor add/remove buttons by trying to sync. The sync failed due to being in editor mode but fixed the bug so I was able to get out.

This is very helpful! Something else I noticed is that my Edit Group Dialogue Box was removed from my primary monitor and showed up on another screen I was using. I use three monitors at a time when I work and the Edit Group Box was in a different window that I never use so I did not think to look there at first.

Has anyone found the fault in this, other than the buttons being off screen? 

I cannot exit my group editor, without having to cancel and lose the changes made - which has never happened before. 

Keyboard shortcut FG, also does nothing. REVIT seems to stall in closing the group.

Yes, they are set into my tool bar.

The group editor won't let me close it after I have made changes. 

Nothing is "pinned" or locked to reference planes or levels. It's something REVIT 2025.4.2 seems to have brough about....

It appears that you have a different problem as this thread is concerning the toolbar being missing.
