Cant Cut Joined Element - Toposolid Question

I've been trying to learn Revit through university and i cant seem to excavate the toposolid from my floor because an error pops up that says "Cant cut joined element". And then, when i click "unjoin elements", nothing happens.

I've tried deleting the entire bottom floor of my house and nothing seems to help.

This issue can occur when the Toposolid has faces that coincide with those in the cutting family. To prevent this, remove points from the Toposolid or slightly offset the edges of the cutting family so the faces no longer coincide

Came tot his solution after having the same problem and it really bothers me that you have to maintain a certain amount of inaccuracy for Revit to work. In my opinion this is totally ridiculous. Revit is already famously inaccurate and this adds to the misery.

"Topography Cut Void Stability" was introduced in 2026 which should help.

(Although the one time I got cutting error with toposolid since 2026, this feature didn't help.)
