Hello everyone,
I am trying to create a detail item tag that will assign both a category parameter (Mark) and a shared parameter (named BarCount). The steps that I am following to add the shared parameter into the family of the tag are displayed in the screenshot below.
The problem is that whereas the category parameter (Mark) is assigned properly, the shared parameter (BarCount) is not assigned at all when I use the tag into the model. Any ideas why this is happening?

You are right, I did not add the shared parameter to the project parameters list. But, when I do, I notice that the parameter is added twice to the detail item (parameter pointed with red in the screenshot below), whereas I want to assign to my tag the parameter pointed with blue. Any ideas why this is happening? Please keep in mind that I am new with Revit and I am working in a model that was created by someone else, so I am not fully aware of the way the shared parameters were created.
