Hi All,
When I created an architectural floor and divided them into parts, I was trying to assign different materials to the floor finishes. In screenshot below, I changed the red arrow area into different material, which on the properties tab it shows the floor finish has been change already. However, graphically it is still the same. Please advise how to show the correct floor finish. Thanks a lot!
Can you elaborate on what you did? Are these two different types of floor, or did you you use the paint tool. If the floors are different, is it just the top layer that is different?
What I did :
1. Select Floor Type under the Properties tab
2. Create Architectural slab
3. Create Parts -> Divide parts -> Finish Edit mode
4. Select the divided parts -> Unchecked "Material By Original" from the Properties tab
5. Assigned new materials to the divided parts.
Please see screenshot below.
It can be 2 different types of floor. I could have built them as separate floor slabs but it would took me so long to adjust all the alignment/ sizes one the design has changed.
It may be in the actual materials that you have the problem - check in your materials browser to make sure the materials are different.
Looks like carpet to me. Change to Consistent Colors to verify.
Also, why not leave the Floor's Structural Material as is, and just Split Face and apply Carpet with Paint Tool?
