Cannot print in revit 2016/2017

Hello,

 

I have a big problem and thats when i want to print in revit 2016 or 2017 the print window is not responsive: i cant select anything.

Strange thing is when i use remote desktop to work at home the work-pc can print within revit 2017! But not directly on my work pc!

 

Anyone have a solution?

Unfortunately windows 10 does only show installed updates from 2 september so i cant deinstall these updates.

Tried to download these updates manually from the above thread but windows 10 says these updates are not for my computer?

 

So it didnt help

Thank you for your post.  In this case, Windows 10 does still have a few nuances, but is supported for the 2017 platform.  To help test further, please change your plot driver to a PDF driver, to then test plotting again.  I have include a free download for PDF that we use in support for troubleshooting issue such as this.  Once installed, please change the plot device you are plotting to the PDF driver (CutePDF) and then test again.  Does this still persist?  If this should still persists, please reply back with a sample copy of this file for further testing.

Please also consider updating your plot drivers on your Windows 10 system to be sure to have the latest and greatest version for your environment.  Please keep us posted in the community and let us know how we can help.  Thank you and we look forward to your reply.

Thanks for the reply,

 

I already have cutepdf installed and more printers which are all up to date.

Changing printers does not work. None of them do.

Printing only works if i use the computer via a windows remote desktop location. when i sign in from a remote desktop and that computer has the same printers installed i can print! But when i open revit on the pc i cant directly print!

 

Its not the revit file because on another pc this revit file prints ok.

 

Used to work flawlessly!!!! Did NOT change anything in revit. Windows on the other hand has automatic updates......

 

I dont want to install either revit or windows 10

Strange thing is i started troubleshooter within windows settings-->printers and windows wanted to set cutepdf as default system printer (which i thought was already set).

Anyway after setting cutepdf as windows default printer i can print again in revit.

 

I have been intalling and deinstalling different pdf programs so maybe this set the windows default printer to none. The printing problems started thereafter
