Cannot place aligned dimension at an angle?

I have tried many times to place an aligned dimension on an angled wall.

It does not place.

How can I fix this?

Thank you for your help.

Did you use Shaft Opening tool to create the shaft?  You are selecting a Slab in your screenshot, not a shaft opening.

And your questions have nothing to do with the original topic, not to mention there is a ghost keep marking wrong posts as Solutions.  Please start you own thread instead of asking here..

I had the exact same issue, in my case I place the mouse on top of the line intersection that i wanted to pick as a reference and start pressing tab, it will first highlight one line, then the other one, then another one and then at some point it's not going to highlight anything if you click the intersection it will take the intersection point as reference. Apparently there must be a bug where the snap square doesn't appear at least that was my issue.
In my opinion Revit would be perfect if it could imitate how well autocad manages snaps and tracking, it would be great if someon address this things, at the same time Autocad will be good if someone purge the hatching system so it works all the time and without crashing.

To measure and angled wall:  Click the wall FIRST, then align measure tool, go to wall tab-tab-tab till blue circles or grey square appear at either end of wall, then angled measurement should appear.
