I feel like I am missing something incredibly simple. I am trying to get a nosing overhang on the sides of a cast-in-place stair. Real-world, the stair is cast-in-place with a brick tread. The sides of the stair are open, and I need the brick tread to cantilever over the stringer as well as the front. Setting a nosing profile and applying it to the Front, Left, and Right will not let the nosing extend beyond the face of the stringer. I do not see the option for a lateral offset, like shown in the options for a Carriage stringer.
Is wrapping a nosing not possible with a cast-in-place stair? Below is an image of the back of a test stair showing the nosing profile embedded into the run. The nosing profile is exaggerated for clarity.
Seems I can do it with the stock default template Precast Stair Type.
Another test:
Ok. Something simple it was. The horizontal direction of my profile was inverted. The profile has to be configured to the left of the origin. Mine was configured to the right. Doh.
HA! That's exactly what I was thinking! Thanks! I'm off to buy a lottery ticket! This time next week, I'll be sitting on a beach earning 20 percent!
