Cannot adjust the visibility graphics of a linked model

I have a linked mechanical model inserted into our architectural model and I am trying to override the graphics to see the ducts in our RCP plans. When I insert the model, the ducts show up yellow and I want change the color. I have tried "Override Graphics in View by Category", Visibility/ Graphics Override for the view (both Model Categories and Revit Liks), and I have tried to filter by workset, however the model does not change at all.  I don't want to override teh components in the linked model, since this is a consultant file that will be updated often. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Yes, I have tried both options and neither works.

Thanks! I have tried creating different filters and that does not work either. Autodesk really needs to find a solution to this.

Filtering by System Classification or System Type didn't work?

Maybe you are not making/applying the filters appropriately. Autodesk says it is the solution.

(BTW, ducts in an RCP can be confusing if you are using hidden lines.)

...and I can confirm that it works.

I tested this solution and it did not work.  I thought this was strange, so I inserted a separate MEP model from a different consultant and the filter worked perfectly. It seems to be an issue with this particular MEP model. Any suggestions?

Post the model or dig in and figure out what is controlling the colors.

this is going to sound silly or may be just the thing to fix it. Is the duct really a duct in the mechanical model. Is there a chance it is just a generic model?

I had this issue and it was because the phase filters in the linked model were set to "override" for the phase filter I was using in the host model.

I had this issue as well, but it was because there was a design option that hadn't been selected in a linked file. After that was "Accepted as Primary," the issue went away for me. Maybe this could be the case for you?

I'm experiencing the same issue; I can't control the visibility of a linked MEP model. I'm currently running RVT 2020.2. This is really frustrating.
