Can you stop Steel Connection Background Processes?

Hi!

I'm wondering if there's a way to stop any steel connection background processes from calculating anything. I like to use the actual steel plate connection to model knife plates, etc - because I can easily isolate them rather than isolating a model-in-place name - but the background processes are freezing my model every I model a steel plate connection.

Thank you!!

PS - I've read to force quit RevitWorker.exe but that ended up corrupting a file on my Microsoft SQL Server and I had to wipe my machine, lol

I don't think there's a way to stop the process. See this note by Autodesk to see if helps to prevent the problem: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Revit-2017-Steel-c...
