Can you install a PDF printer in Revit 2019?

Dear Revit experts, i have a question for you!

To improve my workflow i would like to install a PDF printer that has some oversized Pages, but i ran into an issue.

I could not find a way to implement my .pc3 file into Revit, Adobe PDF is crashing and a browser applikation isn't a smart solution for me.

Dose someone of you had the same issue and perhaps a solution? Thanks for sharing!

pc3 drivers are created in AutoCAD and only applicable in AutoCAD.  If you need to create custom sized page sizes that are not available with your PDF printer, do it via the PDF printer settings.  Below is an example for BluebeamPDF but they all share the same procedure.

A few questions for you, so that I can troubleshoot further:

  • You've mentioned Adobe PDF crashes on your machine- do you receive any of these errors? If so, this could mean that it's a windows issue too.
  • Have you tried updating your Adobe PDF's driver to the latest version from the manufacturer's website?
  • Does the crash occur with a specific project of sheet size?
  • Is this specific to a user/ machine?
  • Do you have other applications open when you are trying to print to PDF?
  • Did the crash occur with any other Revit version?

Looking forward to your reply update.

Regards,
