Can you group dimensions in Revit 2021?

I have 2 different residential unit plan options for the same location/tier in an overall building plan and the unit plans are modeled as model groups (not design options).  I’m working in Revit 2021 and each time I switch the unit plans, I lose the dims. associated with each plan.  And I can’t save the dims. as a model group either to try to keep them associated with each unit plan option.  Does Revit 2021 or more recent versions allow you to save dimensions associated with a specific unit layout as a model group?  So I don’t lose dimensions when I switch between the 2 unit plans for the same unit location.

You should be able to save annotation including dimensions as part of Attached Detail Groups.

Steve,

Thanks for your reply/suggestion, but I just tried creating an Attached Detail Group of just the dimensions and I get the attached error message.  The dimensions are NOT already grouped, so I'm at a loss as to what else to do.   Do you have any idea why I might be getting the error message?

If I have a group already and add dimensions to elements that are part of the group, when I select those dimensions and click Create Group, a dialog appears offering to create an Attached Detail Group. Is it possible some of your dimensions are including elements that are not part of the group? You'll need to put something in the group that can represent the edge of the element that isn't in the group too.
