Can you assign a new parameter to a model group?

Is there any way to assign parameters to model groups. It would be useful when working with groups of apartment flats. Right now common technique is to assign parameters (such as flat type, occupancy, relevant standards) to an area within such group.

A project parameter can be associated with Model Groups in at least Revit 2020 and on.
