Can't Transfer a Material

I have a material already in a project that I want to transfer to a family, except that material does not appear in the list when I try to Transfer Project Standards / Materials. Help please?

I am very weak on using materials.

Transfer Project Standards should be work well, but if it's not for some reasons you can Use copy/paste - make a small and simple generic-model (or your Category) in your project assign material to it , copy-paste the generic model to your family.

Actually you can't, we copy the model from in-place generic model to independent generic model.they are same.
