Can't select certain floors in exploded view

I created an exploded 3D view with the displacement tool. I have 6 levels in the project. I can select the floors for some of the levels, but not others. I am unable to click on the floor for the second and fourth level. I tried restarting it and nothing works. In my regular 3D View I was able to click on those floors and I was able to click on them minutes earlier when creating the exploded view. Any tips?

maybe they are pinned and your "select pinned elements" toggle switch is set not to select pinned elements maybe?

That wasn't it but you sent me in the right direction and I figured it out! If I click the select underlay button next to the select pinned elements button, it will let me select it. Thanks for the help!

**EDIT: That ended up not working and am still looking for solutions!!**

You can select the floors in section ie.? Do you have select elements by face turned off?

Are these floors part of a design option?

No, I just started this model. It's really simple with only floors and grids and a ramp. Not much to it

You could try duplicating the view to see if the issue remains. Else, I'm out of ideas for now I believe... perhaps share the file to have a look.

I deleted the floors and remade them and that seemed to have fixed the problem! Thanks for all your help!

  1. Can you tell us which template are you using US/DE/IT and which discipline (Architectural/Structural/MEP/Construction)?
  2. Can you post a screen shot of the section view cutting through all levels...
  3. How did you create the floors? copy/paste to levels or sketched them separately on each level
