I have 100 pieces and I want the ability to isolate a selection of them and then selecting that selection only.
I thought I could do this by 'selecting all instances in view' - but, that option is greyed out. Anyone know why?
I'm trying to select generic families and I'm using Revit LT if that helps solve the mystery.
Thanks

It sounds like you may have more than one type of object selected.
Nope. That's not it. I'm selecting a single shared family nested into a shared host family. I'm trying to select all in view and not all in project, but the former is greyed out.
My guess is your selecting a Nested element In a family. Shared or not I don't think the "Select All" will work under those circumstances.
If you select the host family and pick Select All do they all select?
