I am trying to create new section views in a plan but can't see the section line. There are some existing section lines which are visible, but none of the newly created one are visible. I have removed view template from the view and edited Graphics Visibility settings to show sections. Does anyone know why this may be happening?
Thanks.

have you tried reviling hidden elements. you can quickly check this buy clicking the light bulb on the bottom left of the screen.
pay attention to the option : Hides at Scales Coarser then....You can set it for each section ...

In your project file, is there more than one Section view Type? If you have multiple Types, you may be drawing one that has associated with it a View Template setting it to a View Discipline other than View Discipline your Plan is set to. If you create a Structural Section while in an Architectural Plan, for example, it won't show up.
Is your Plan view cropped with the Annotation Crop turned on? If you create a Section that falls outside of the Annotation Crop, it won't show up.
Apparently the new sections weren't showing up because of the filter set by the manager. It filtered to only show section lines which were placed on a sheet. But your answer was helpful as well. Thanks!
Ah. Well, that's a useful filter to keep your "working" views (that you might have created to work in without ever intending them to be part of the drawing set) from littering the drawings. But it's something I would only do at the end of modeling...right before printing out an issue set.
It's kind of silly to set it while you're still working in the file.
There's an option on the printing setup menu to hide unreferenced view tags - so you can easily see all your sections while working and only print the useful ones that appear on sheets.
Thank you so much! that was the solution to my problem, today I learned something new ![]()
