This tool is typically used to transfer standards from one project to another, such as transferring settings, view templates, families, etc. It's not directly applicable within a schedule view because schedules themselves don't contain project standards in the same way that views or families do.

If you're looking to transfer schedule settings or formatting from one project to another, you'll generally need to copy the schedule itself from one project to another using the "Insert from File" function or by simply copying and pasting the schedule view between projects.

Project standards include the following:

  • Family types (including system families, but not loaded families)
  • Line weights, materials, view templates, and object styles
  • Annotation styles, color fill schemes, and fill patterns
  • Print settings

I know what it does. I wanted to transfer materials from one project to another. My active view just happened to be a schedule. Therefore the tool was greyed out.

I'm really getting tired of running into completely unnecessary issues when working with Revit...
