I have a colleague who can't seem to pick the outside of a wall core for the boundary of her floor sketch. Can anyone help us with why she can't seem to pick internal wall layers. I've taken a quick look at the wall type and it seems pretty legit. The layers are called out and there is a 3 1/2" core layer. She just can't seem to pick the relevant wall layer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are two options:
- Pick lines: TAB to cycle through layers to pick a line
- Pick wall: make sure to tick the Extend to Wall core box from the option bar
Which one did she use?
And, does it only happen on her computer?
Hi Toan-
Yeah, she is trying to pick the outside of the wall core layer and she is cycling through the various layers using the TAB function. Strangely, she can't seem to pick this wall core layer even to just draw a detail line by cycling through wall layer selections using the TAB function. Really weird and debilitating.

Maybe I didn't make my self clear. Which of the two buttons below that she used to pick the wall core line?
Pick Wall Method, Extend to Core checked and then use Flip Control to toggle to opposite side.
Sorry. She is using the pick lines feature. Not the pick wall feature. I thought you should be able to tab select your way into selecting a wall core but maybe I'm confusing this with dimensioning. Can you not tab your way to the core layer for detail lines and floor sketches?
Maybe the only way to do this is to use the align function after the line is drawn.
No problem here. Can lay down Detail Lines accurately without even needing to hit the Tab Key. The wall layers just highlight in blue as my cursor passes over them.
Turns out our Revit version hadn't been updated to address this bug. We installed the 2018.3 update and both our versions are behaving normally now. Thanks to everyone who troubleshot this with us.
