Can't find room separator or model line

Hello,

I'm in an architectural floor plan view and I can't find a Room Separator that is in the model. I  can't draw a new separator room or model line in that room: It seems that you can draw the line but after that it desappear and it's impossible to find it. All is turned on (VG/Model Categories /Lines/Room Separator and VG/Model Categories /Rooms) and nothing is hidden. I notice that this happens in only one room of the whole model : other model lines and separator rooms are visible in the same floor plan (see attached jpg) so it doesn't depend on VG settings.. Could you help me?

Thanks

That grid...is it a floor? A floor with a surface pattern? And is its upper surface slightly higher than the level as tiles would be? Hide that floor or make it transparant and see if your room separator is under it.

At least that's my only idea.

Hi there - not sure how long ago you posted this - I was having as similar issue. I had invisible room separators that weren't showing up anywhere, including when I toggled the 'Reveal Hidden Elements'. I ended up'Unhiding In View' the entire Room Spearator Category, and the missing/ invisible/ myystery room separator (that had been cutting rooms in half where they weren't supposed to) appeared out of nowhere. I was then able to delete it and my rooms were divided where they were supposed to be again. I have no idea why it didn't show up when I did the 'reveal hidden elements (other room separators did show up when I did that)... It's worth a try.

Marking things "solved" in Autodesk forums is the biggest scam. A floor element, which is slightly above the level, should never, ever, ever, ever hide a room separator line. Oh but I know, some wise person here will deliver some convoluted reason why it is so.

The other trick marked "solved" isn't a solution at all- it's just someone reporting some random workflow, that by complete accident, caused the room separator line to appear.

Serious question- has anyone at Autodesk ever worked in architecture? It seems like a crazy question- but you have to wonder using Revit.

Create a new plan view identical to the one you're trying to see the room divisions (uncheck "Do not duplicate existing views).

You can see and modify the room divisions in the new view, which will be reflected in all corresponding views. You can delete the new view when finished.

Create a new clipped section where you expect the room separator to be. Selest all items in the view. If a separator appears in the view filter, delete it. Replace any separators that may have been deleted by accident.

FYI, Making the floor transparent worked for me.  I couldn't see the Room Separator lines (invisible), had them turned on, made the colour red and heavy line weight in VG categories. But still nothing.  If I made a window around a room boundary, I was able to select the separator line and then adjust the endpoint grip, but the lines were still invisible, until I made the floor transparent.
