Can't Edit Casework Family

I have created custom shaker panels for cabinets, and I am trying to add a parameter to change the width of the stiles on the sides of the panel from 3" to 1.5". When I edit the panel family and load it back into my casework family, it's all good. However, once I load the casework family into Revit, I keep receiving this error message. I get a similar message when I try to delete the family from my project entirely. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

The project has types which are not working properly

1. When you edit the family, make sure to flex all parameters
2. Change types and check values of type parameters (make sure they are all set properly)
3. When you load into project do not overwrite parameter values... do that after manually
