Can't edit a family

I have a light family which I'd like to change the size of although while trying to edit the family I have no options to edit the extrusion. I have never encountered a family in which I'm unable to edit the extrusion, sweep, etc. Does anyone know why this is and if there's any workaround? I've attached a picture of the family selected with the options provided to me.

...if it's an In-Place Component, post the Project File - or convert the In-Place to an RFA if you know how.

Looks to me like the geometry is imported from another program .  recommend you remake the geometry in revit.

It might be a family exported from Inventor.
