Can't convert Instance's Work Plane to Host error

When I try and apply the 'Label' parameter to a workplane hosted family I get the "Can't convert Instance's Work Plane to Host" error.

Why? The family is work plane-based and hosted on a named workplane. It makes no sense.

Found the answer.

When you create a <Family Type...>  parameter it gets set by Revit to be one of the loaded families.

You need to change that to be one of the ones you want to control.

If you don't you could be trying to change it to a family hosted on a completely different workplane.

We are getting this error when simply changing all mechanical equipments from Workset1 to another workset...

Funny thing, the error list is just for one instance. That instance is a workplane family hosted in a link. We correct it so that the host is the correct level, and then, when we do the operation again, same error, another instance... So the list of errors stops at the first aparently... Jesus... Why???
