Can't constrain Model Text to a ref plane or ref line in nested family

Hello All, 

I'm having some trouble locking this Model Text to anything at all. 

Everytime I bring it in to the host family, its somewhere floating. 

Don't have this trouble with any other families - and there are quite a few! 

I've tried constraining the text to ref planes or ref lines in a group and then the group to ref planes. The solution in other threads hasn't worked here. 

I've uploaded a file. 

If anyone has any ideas that would be much appreciated!

Make a separated family with the 3d text, with reference planes to let you lock measurements.

Then in the main family lock the measurements.

Have you tried modeling text starting form a host-based family template?
