I try to add a project parameter to a schedule view template.
As an example, I assign that "Test" parameter to schedules and views...
Here's what I see in the "Plans view templates"
Here's what I see in the "Schedules view templates"
What is funny is that I see the parameter in the schedule properties
But it doesn't work for me as I want to assign the value in the view template...
By the way, in my previous explanation, I used "Schedule Type" and I just saw that that name was already used in Revit out-of-the-box... Consider that I will name it "Test" instead of "Schedule Type"
Hi
To test that parameter " Test" which is a TEXT parameter..
try to assign some text to Views..
Only then you will get some results in schedules etc...
its BLANK now ....right??
You dont need to give that parameter to " Schedule"
withing schedules, you can sort or filter using that new parameter ..
Schedule, filter by " Text" contains " Type"
I think you could simplify the solution by just creating Schedule Types. This would be a standard workflow and not require any custom parameter to manage.
With a Schedule active, go to the Properties palette and select Edit Type. Next, select Duplicate and give it a name that is appropriate for that type of Schedule. This can then be used to sort in the Project Browser and will be easier to manage than a custom parameter.
