I'm trying to change the color of the glass of a an entire curtain wall. I've created the new material that I want to apply to the curtain wall, I've duplicated the curtain wall that I wish to edit, but when I click "edit type" I am unable to change the material to the glass type that I created. The Materials and Finishes tab is grayed out. I'm sure I'm probably doing it wrong, but I haven't come across any other ways to do it so far.
A curtain wall has no material. You need to assign the materials to the curtain wall panel types and the curtain wall mullion types that being used for the curtain wall.
I figured out how to do it, but I've come across a different issue... None of my panels are pinned, but my ability to select them is almost nonexistent. This is likely the reason I had so much trouble changing the material of the panels. 95% percent of them are unselectable, and for some reason, there are a few scattered randomly throughout my project that I AM able to select. I'll have a section of curtain wall with grids and such, but I can only select one, maybe two panels if I'm lucky. This is an issue, as I am unable to add doors and other features where I need them, because I can't select the panels that I want to. Do you have any idea why my panels would be behaving this way?
